The Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, Ministry of Foreign Affairs is  inviting suitably qualified Nigerians, for recruitment as Volunteers into the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps Scheme, who would be required to render lecturing and research services in the Universities of Rwanda and The Gambia. The volunteers are to lecture in the following capacities

(1) Senior Lecturer (Law)

Locations: Rwanda and The Gambia
Faculty: Law

  1. The Scheme is an important tool of Nigerian Foreign Policy, designed to foster South-South Cooperation by way of providing manpower assistance in specific areas of interest on request from African, Caribbean and Pacific (APC) Countries.

  • Conducting Survey camps and field visits
  • Teaching Advanced Techniques in Construction Technology, Geotechnical Engineering and Foundation Engineering

  • Undertake fieldwork with students
  • To take Academic and Administrative duties in the department
  • Publication of Research papers

Eligibility
Lecturers in Infrastructure and Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Construction Management, Infrastructure Design and Construction, Building Engineering and Building Information and Modelling, Water and Environmental Engineering (PhD with 4 years teaching experience)

(7) Lecturer (Construction Management)

Locations: Rwanda and The Gambia
College: Science and Technology

  • Review and update of BSc content curriculum
  • Preparation and Running Master Program

Eligibility
Lecturers in Construction Technology and Management, Geomatics, Surveying (PhD holder with teaching experience)

(8) Lecturer (Estate Management and Valuation)

Locations: Rwanda and The Gambia
College: Science and Technology
School: Architecture and Built Environment

PhD holders in Financial and Economic Valuation, PhD in Real Estate and Building Marketing, PhD in Land Management and Planning.

  • Coordinate 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year Thesis Studio Design;
  • Specialized and able to teach courses in: Landscape Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Virtual Design, Design Studio and support Modules with expertise in 3D graphics, Digital animation, VR & AR technologies, 3D printing, CAD, Innovation, Furniture, Fabrication, 3D printing
  • Review and update of BSc curriculum content
  • Preparation and Running Master Program

Eligibility
PhD or Master Degree in Landscape Design, Interior Design, Product Design or Visual Design with at least 4 years of teaching and/or industry experience.

(10) Lecturer (Architecture)

School: Architecture and Built Environment

Core Competences

  • Coordinate Architectural Design Studio (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year)as well as 5th year Thesis Studio
  • Covering these various specializations or able to teach courses in: Urban Planning, Strategic Projects, Urban Design Projects, High-rise Building, Community Design, Housing Naghbor Design, Contextual Design and Environmental Design History of Architecture and Theory of Architecture, Sustainable Design, Sustainable Material and Construction
  • Conduct Research and Supervise student Thesis Projects
  • Review and update of BSc Curriculum content
  • Preparation and Running Master Program

Eligibility
PhD Holders or Master Degree with at least 4 years teaching and industry experience
